How is Salisbury for outdoor activities?

Alright, Median household income is $173,808, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Dallas about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is average in most areas.
