Salisbury in the winter -how bad?

Curious what people think. I work in media and With a population of 13,388, Salisbury is a small town. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.
