Been living here since 2011. Poverty rate is 6.5%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,343/month for a decent place. Median household income is $74,925, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,343 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I'm a project manager and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The safety is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Highland for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The school system scene is tough
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
