Salt Lake City is underrated, change my mind

Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $495,700, which is pretty steep. With a population of 204K, Salt Lake City is a mid-size city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The nightlife is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
