Weekend activities in Salt Lake City?

Longtime lurker here, Homes are going for about $495,700 on average. With a population of 204K, Salt Lake City is a mid-size city. Median household income is $74,925, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Salt Lake City? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I've lived in Lakewood for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The public transit scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much wild but now it's better than expected.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, No regrets on my end..
