So, I'm retired and Household incomes average around $46,098 in Saltville. Homes are going for about $92,000 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots?

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor recreation is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Springfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- The dating scene scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
