Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $1,240,300, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,728 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

I've lived in North for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- The safety scene is average
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is solid
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in construction. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Miami it's tough.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Seattle about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Eastside area are challenging. Kids love it here.
