First post here. With a population of 66,375, Sammamish is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $1,240,300 on average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $227,273 in Sammamish. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Portland about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The job market is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
