Sammamish housing prices -when will it stop?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $2,728 for rent here. Household incomes average around $227,273 in Sammamish. Rent is about $2,728/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 11 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2019 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is tough in most areas.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in South for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- The safety scene is decent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
