First post here. Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $1,355 for rent here. Median household income is $51,780, which feels on the lower side for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The safety is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Houston about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Seattle about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Eastside area are excellent. Kids love it here.
