The good and bad of living in San Antonio comunidad (Dorado Municipio)
Hey everyone, We're a young couple and Median household income is $23,757, which feels on the lower side for the area. Poverty rate is 31.7%, which is higher than I expected. The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $499 for rent here. Homes are going for about $130,000 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Low crime in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Poor road conditions
- Chain restaurants dominate
