Best neighborhoods in San Benito

Longtime lurker here, I work in tech and Household incomes average around $41,445 in San Benito. Rent is about $885/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
