Moving to San Benito with kids -good idea?

Household incomes average around $41,445 in San Benito. The median home value here is around $85,100, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Seattle about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
