How is San Bernardino for outdoor activities?

OK so I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 15.9%, which is higher than I expected. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Does this match your experience? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
