Hi all, I'm retired and It's a a mid-size city city with about 222K people. Median household income is $63,988, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 15.9%, which is higher than I expected. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
