Things San Bernardino needs to improve

My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 63°F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $384,900, which seems about average. Household incomes average around $63,988 in San Bernardino. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Seattle about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:

- Good healthcare facilities

- Decent public transit for the size

- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:

- Winters are long and cold

- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.
