First post here. I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $1,199,400 on average. With a population of 42,612, San Bruno is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Boston about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
