Quick question about San Buenaventura (Ventura)

Hello, Crime rate is something to consider -San Buenaventura (Ventura) sits at 433.0 per 100K. Household incomes average around $100,407 in San Buenaventura (Ventura). You can expect to pay around $2,101 for rent here. The median home value here is around $778,700, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'm a lawyer and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Portland it's excellent.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Pine Hills area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Boston about 14 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is average in most areas.
