Rent prices in San Buenaventura (Ventura) getting crazy
Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in San Buenaventura (Ventura)? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $2101 for a 2BR which feels like a lot.
Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

The job market has been improving lately. Several manufacturing companies moved in recently.

As someone who moved here from San Francisco, I can confirm most of this. The weather surprised me the most.

Don't sleep on Downtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Coming from LA, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

If you can afford it, Riverside is the best place to live. Period.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.
