Working in San Carlos -salaries realistic?

Hi all, What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
