Moving to San Clemente -what should I know?

Random thought, I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,398 for rent here. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 8 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is solid in most areas.
