The good and bad of living in San Clemente

Alright, I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $1,220,500, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $134,735 in San Clemente. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 9 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much manageable but now it's surprisingly good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely improving and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Riverside) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great craft beer places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The housing market is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
