Dog-friendly places in San Dimas?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $105,833, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $2,232/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I work in legal here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is average. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 10 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 6 years. Moved from Tampa for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Chain restaurants dominate. And housing market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
