Life in San Dimas as a young professional

Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $105,833, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? Cheers. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor recreation is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
