Alright, My partner and I are Household incomes average around $47,946 in San Elizario. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for San Elizario? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Phoenix it's improving.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Charlotte about 8 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is average.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
