Bought a house here in 2021 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The healthcare is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
