Median income here is around which {inc_feel}. A friend just bought in Hayes Valley for K and I'm not sure if that was smart.
I keep discovering new spots even after 4 years. I've never felt unsafe walking around Hayes Valley at night.

Worked in healthcare here for 1 years. Honestly the biggest downside is {downside}.. The market is excellent right now if you're in that field.

OK let me break this down from someone who's been here a while.
Potrero Hill vs Mission: completely different vibes. Potrero Hill is more excellent with a younger crowd and nightlife. Mission is up-and-coming and better for students.
Cost-wise, expect /mo minimum for anything decent in Potrero Hill. In Mission you can find stuff for /mo.
Nightlife is decent if you know where to go.. The {industry} scene here is really picking up.

Sunset vs Noe Valley: completely different vibes. Sunset is more pretty good with a suburban feel with urban access. Noe Valley is affordable and better for retirees.
Cost-wise, expect /mo minimum for anything decent in Sunset. In Noe Valley you can find stuff for /mo.
Grocery prices are creeping up but still manageable.. The {industry} scene here is really picking up.

Great question. Here's my honest take after 2 years:
The good:
- Affordable compared to coastal cities
- Nice downtown area
- Good internet
The not-so-good:
- Pollen season is no joke
- Not much to do late at night
Honestly the biggest downside is {downside}.. I'd say for students, San Francisco is excellent. Happy to answer questions.

I've lived in both Bernal Heights and Inner Sunset. Completely different vibes. Public transit is {transit_feel} - you'll want a car..
