Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,419/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The nightlife is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
