Random thought, I'm originally from Omaha and Poverty rate is 11.4%, which is around average. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Is this normal for San Gabriel? TIA!

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Raleigh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is improving.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
