Cost of living reality check -San Jacinto

Random thought, Poverty rate is 12.3%, which is around average. With a population of 54,756, San Jacinto is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,633 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for San Jacinto? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Used to live on the North side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I've lived in East for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The weather scene is improving

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..
