How are the schools in San Jacinto?

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 54,756, San Jacinto is a smaller city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 37, moved here 6 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Westside and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The nightlife situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for singles. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Boston, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in construction here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is average. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
