Best neighborhoods to rent in San José comunidad?
First post here. I'm retired and Average temperature is around 81--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a small town city with about 2,195 people. Crime rate is something to consider -San Jos-- comunidad sits at 2,771.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 73.0%, which is higher than I expected. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
Pros:
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
