Rent prices in San Jose getting crazy

Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in San Jose? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $2617 for a studio which feels like a lot.

Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Cedar Hills and Old Town are perfectly safe.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.
