What San Jose does better than anywhere else

We have two kids and Rent is about $2,617/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider — San Jose sits at 438.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks for reading. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Eastside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The public transit scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Pine Hills area are solid. Kids love it here.

I work in marketing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Happy to answer more specific questions..
