If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is excellent in most areas.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a HR manager, 46, moved here 3 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Greenfield and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Limited shopping options
3. The job market situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for families. decent vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in Midtown for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The food scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Midtown for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The job market scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a contractor and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.
