Hi all, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 321K, San Juan zona urbana is a mid-size city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Does this match your experience?

Moved here from Chicago about 5 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to housing market but No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is improving in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
