Curious what people think. Just moved here 17 months ago and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in construction. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
