Is San Leandro worth it salary-wise?
Hi all, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 88,531 people. Household incomes average around $98,063 in San Leandro. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thanks for reading. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
