First post here. I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. Homes are going for about $197,400 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'm a social worker and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 10 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
