Curious what people think. I'm a 36-year-old contractor and Median household income is $57,364, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. Homes are going for about $197,400 on average. You can expect to pay around $746 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is tough in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 15 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the North side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
