Median home value here is around $792,400. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $2191.

Is now a good time to buy in San Marcos? Or better to keep renting?

Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

If you can afford it, Westside is the best place to live. Period.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.
