Career opportunities in San Marcos, TX

I work in construction and Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Definitely worth checking out..
