Is it worth buying in San Marcos?
I work in energy and It's a a smaller city city with about 68,920 people. Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,299/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Looking forward to hearing from you all. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
