Best industries in San Marino right now

Hello, I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -San Marino sits at 106.1 per 100K. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $2,000,001, which is pretty steep. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The weather is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Portland it's solid.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The healthcare is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 8 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2022 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
