Considering San Pablo vs Kansas City -help me decide
Hey, I'm single, late 30s, and Rent is about $1,890/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. What do you all think? Thanks! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in North for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- The weather scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.
