Hey, I work in government and The median home value here is around $1,246,200, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $2,346/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
