Life in San Rafael as a young professional

Longtime lurker here, The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $1,246,200 on average. Rent is about $2,346/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
