So, I work in real estate and Crime rate is something to consider -Sand Springs sits at 109.9 per 100K. Rent is about $1,016/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is improving in most areas.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- The housing market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
