Housing in Sand Springs compared to Seattle
First post here. I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $186,700 on average. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 19,973 people. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Walkable downtown
Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
