Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Sandwich sits at 163.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $239,600 on average. Rent is about $1,044/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
